Description

17' Independence: The Lightweight Twin-Bed Legend

Casitas are unique because they are constructed of two heavy-duty fiberglass shells (top and bottom) sealed together, making them incredibly leak-resistant and easy to tow.

 Signature Living & Interior Highlights

  • Twin Bed Configuration: Features two permanent 30" x 74" twin beds on the sides of the trailer. This allows each person to get up without disturbing the other and creates a clear path to the bathroom.

  • Dinette Conversion: A small table can be placed between the twin beds for dining, or the space can be filled in with cushions to create a massive King-size bed if preferred.

  • Front Wet Bath: Despite its small footprint, it includes a private front bathroom with a shower, toilet, and integrated sink.

  • Efficient Galley: The kitchen is compact but functional, featuring a 3-burner cooktop with a cover, a sink, and a 4.0 cu. ft. 3-way refrigerator (Gas, Electric, 12V).

  • Storage Galore: Casita maximizes every inch with wrap-around overhead storage bins and a dedicated closet for hanging clothes.

Casita "Legacy" Construction

  • Two-Piece Marine-Grade Fiberglass Shell: Designed to be aerodynamic and lightweight, which significantly improves fuel economy for the tow vehicle.

  • Insulated Interior Walls: The walls are lined with a plush, marine-grade headliner that provides insulation against heat/cold and acts as a sound dampener.

  • Torsion Rubber Ride Suspension: Provides a smoother ride for the trailer and its contents compared to traditional leaf springs.

  • Heavy-Duty Steel Frame: The fiberglass body is bolted to a custom-made, powder-coated steel frame for long-term structural integrity.

 Utility & Technology

  • Three-Way Refrigerator: Offers the versatility to run on shore power, propane, or 12V battery power while driving.

  • High-Lift Suspension (Standard on many): Many Independence models are ordered with the high-lift axle and 15" tires for better ground clearance.

  • Rooftop A/C: A low-profile Coleman-Mach unit is standard, typically paired with a heat strip for chilly mornings.
